As part of the selection criteria for principal, Pastor
Thayer said they were looking for someone who would have a passion and
love for the school and its students. I am sure that all who know
her would agree that this is true of Mrs. Hartline. She has shown
this passion not only in the class room but in other activities such as
coaching basketball and being advisor to the National Honor Society not to
mention managing the annual walk-a-thon fund raiser.
Mrs. Hartline will have some big shoes to fill. She
will be replacing Mrs. Carol Crowley who served as the school's principal
for the last three years. While principal, Mrs. Crowley worked
tirelessly to maintain and update standards at MCS. We wish her and
her husband, Dr. Thomas Crowley, well as they are making plans to join
their grandchildren in Tennessee.
Not only are there big shoes to fill, Mrs. Hartline will
have less than a month before the new school year begins. Massillon Christian School is
scheduled to begin its 37th year of operations on August 17th.
There's a lot of work to be done in a short period of time! Although this seems like a short time to prepare for a new school year and a
new job, it could be said that Mrs. Hartline has been preparing for 30
years and is well equipped to take on the task.
Please join us in congratulating Mrs. Hartline
and praying for a successful school year.
